Just because I’m Vietnamese doesn’t mean I have an intrinsic love for gambling. Who am I kidding? Of course I love it! I thrive on the excitement, the adrenaline, the competition, and the dream that the next hand or pull of the handle would land me the BIG ONE. It’s no surprise that I’ve been to Las Vegas more times than I can count.
I remember grinding it out with my college roommates in online gambling tournaments – we were practicing to become pros. But the dream would soon be shelved, we weren’t very good.
After a while we found solace in the simplicity of online blackjack and various other games available online for us to practice our craft and even play with real money. And though I’ve always loved the excitement of the tables, I’ve never spent more than $100 on these games.
I might love card games, but I hate losing money. So, I’d spend the $100 each time I’m in Vegas to satisfy that itch or online if I want to play from the comfort of my home, but the adventure has always been the sights and sounds of the city and natural landscapes surrounding it.
